Direct Data Access Via FTP

This option allows you to choose the download package you want directly through the server after you have logged in.
Once onto the FTP site, you can choose from one of four directories to download from:

• ByThemeZIP - this directory contains the complete theme-based data from the watershed data contributors. Each archive represents a single theme from an ARS research watershed. The archive is named for the watershed and theme, for example, 'IAWC_WaterQuality.zip' contains all of the water-quality data from Iowa's North Walnut Creek. Each archive contains the measurement data in a textfile format (csv), the GIS data in a file-geodatabase format, the applicable ARS methods and Site Description reports, and the watershed description.



• GeodatabaseZIP - provides you with access to the GIS data for watersheds in STEWARDS and the supporting GIS data for the watersheds. The support GIS data includes the complete SSURGO soils data, and the USGS National Elevation Dataset. Both sets of data are archived in the ESRI file-geodatabase format.



• MeasurementZIP - this directory contains the individual theme-based data from the watershed data contributors. Each archive represents a single theme from an ARS research watershed. The archive is named for the watershed and theme, for example, 'IASF_Discharge-Daily.zip' contains all of the daily discharge data from Iowa's south Fork of the Iowa River. Each archive contains the measurement data in a textfile format (csv) and the applicable ARS methods.



• ModelingZIP - This directory holds contributed modeling data and model-run results from individual watersheds.
